Masters of Industrial Design

I was born in Russia, grew up in Ukraine and now reside in Philadelphia. I was trained as a visual artist. While attending MICA, I majored in Painting but experimented with other visual forms of expression, including Drawing, Sculpture, Fiber Arts, Printmaking & Photography. I became interested in the Industrial Design while working as a production artist for a stained glass shop and establishing a small artisan business.

My interest in the larger cultural issues brought me to MID at UArts. In this program, I hope to learn how to engage with the culture in visual yet practical ways. I hope to learn how to utilize design strategies in creating sustainable solutions in life and culture.
