Bubble Trouble

Air and Humor

City life can be chaotic, serious and fast-paced. After receiving our assignment to use one of the four elements and one human virtue to design a joyous intervention, our team decided to look at examples here in Philly. When we thought back on what brought us joy as children, bubbles immediately came to mind, and seemed the most likely to get a great response.

Commuters seemed to be a group of people that could use this intervention the most, so we tried to come up with ways to reach them on foot, in their cars, and on bikes. We used white jump suits and color coordinated brushes and buckets to emphasize that we were making our bubble intervention with purpose, not just for fun. The success of our project was confirmed by the smiles of the people passing by.
